Dozens of South Sound officials set to be sworn-in during Monday event

Thurston County’s 2013 swearing-in ceremony will be at 2 p.m. Monday at South Puget Sound Community College’s Minnaert Center for the Arts, 2011 Mottman Road SW, Olympia.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be hosted by newly elected auditor Mary Hall. 

Dozens of elected officials from South Sound cities, towns, fire districts, school districts and the Port of Olympia have been invited to participate in the event.

It will include a keynote speech by state Sen. Karen Fraser, and remarks by U.S. Rep.  Denny Heck, D-Olympia.
