Forget about the wine in wine and dine rule

Yes, state legislators need to write a clear rule on free meals from lobbyists. And as The Olympian said, if they are not up to the task, the state Legislative Ethics Board, with input from the public, can do it for them.

Well, 20 years ago (1993), I served on the governor’s ethics board. We set the standards for free wining and dining. Apparently they have been changed/revised and/or ignored by some.

My afterthought: Forget the wine!
