It’s time to let go of the Obamacare complaints

OlympiaJanuary 7, 2014

I’m getting tired of hearing the worn out complaints about Obamacare, i.e. big government is taking away our choice and higher premiums.

Get a grip. I don’t hear the people who really needed health care reform (folks who couldn’t afford health insurance and those with pre-existing conditions) complaining.

If those of us who already have insurance have to pay a little more, so be it. Think of the savings from not having uninsured people using emergency rooms as their primary care facilities.

I have friends with two older children with disabilities who are saving $400 a month and now have the freedom to leave a job they kept only because they couldn’t afford to lose the health benefits. The Affordable Care Act is helping the people most in need.

It will be better run and more efficient in time and the benefits to all Americans will be plainly felt.
