Project goofs could complicate roads package, lawmakers say

State lawmakers on Thursday said problems with two transportation megaprojects could complicate efforts to pass a transportation revenue package this year.

Lawmakers told reporters it may not be the best time for lawmakers to push an 11.5 cent increase in the state gas tax to fund more than $10 billion in transportation improvements, given issues the state is having with State Route 99 in Seattle and the State Route 520 bridge east of the city.
