Governors bet seafood, chowder on Seahawks-Saints game

Staff writerJanuary 12, 2014

It looks like one Washington food bank will be getting 100 pounds of Louisiana seafood, courtesy of Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.

That's what Jindal laid on the line in his bet with Wash. Gov. Jay Inslee over the outcome of Saturday's Seahawks vs. Saints game, The Spokesman-Review reports.

Inslee had pledged that he would donate 500 cups of Ivar's clam chowder to a Louisiana food bank if the Saints won, writes Jim Camden of the Spokane-based paper.

But the Seahawks beat the Saints 23-15 Saturday, so it will be Jindal who has to fork over the fish.
