Official Seahawks send-off set for Sunday morning

Staff writerJanuary 24, 2014

The Seattle Seahawks hope to see the 12th Man at their final send-off of the NFL season.

Fans are invited to line the 1.1-mile route along South 188th Street starting at 46th Avenue South in SeaTac on Sunday to show support for the Hawks, the team announced Friday afternoon.

The send-off begins at 10:30 a.m., a week before the team faces the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Fans are encouraged to bring 12th Man flags, signs, Seahawks attire and loud voices as the team buses pass, a news release from the team says.

Carpooling is recommended, and parking will be available to the public at Tyee Educational Complex, Chinook Middle School, Bow Lake Elementary School, SeaTac City Hall, Angle Lake Park, and the Sea-Tac Airport paid parking lot.
