Where to get your gridiron on

Many bars, restaurants and entertainment venues around South Sound have specials planned for big game

ddemarest@theolympian.comJanuary 31, 2014

There’s no denying that the 82,000 people who will pack MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday will get to see the game of a lifetime. But they’re also going to see their bank account balances drop along with their core body temperatures.

The rest of us, if we want to rub elbows with our fellow fans, can do so in the comfort, camaraderie and relative frugality of a South Sound bar or restaurant.

With help from our readers, we’ve compiled this list of local venues that are going above and beyond the usual game-day goodies to really cater to the 12th Man (and Woman). We’ve probably missed a few, though, so check in with your local hangout if you don’t see it listed here.

Managers were still fine-tuning some details when we gathered this information. Some venues will start well before kickoff and continue long after, but you can count on just about all activities and specials listed here to be good during game time. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
