Changing baby’s diaper showed bad manners

RochesterJanuary 31, 2014

We were sitting in an Olympia restaurant Sunday next to the glassed-in reception area. A young family came in and sat down with their baby. That was just fine, until she decided to change its diaper, right next to the window where we were trying to enjoy our meal. Really? There was a restroom available just a few steps away, but she couldn’t be bothered to take the child there.

I could not believe the lack of consideration, would she really be OK with watching someone change a dirty diaper while she was trying to eat? Either she was totally self-centered or was never taught manners. No wonder other nationalities consider Americans the rude society these days if they experience this type of behavior.

The Olympian is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
