Don’t try to change downtown Olympia

OlympiaFebruary 5, 2014

I moved here about 10 years ago from Hawaii. I was tired of sweating like a river every day. I grew to love Olympia, and understood why my brother picked this wonderful place when he graduated from university. Downtown is unique. That I like. It has personality. That I like. It has the best place to eat lunch in the state: 5th Avenue Sandwich (try the pie — it is heaven). It has Buck’s. Great spice bargains and sane conversation with wonderful Ann Buck. Coffee, try Batdorf and Bronsons for a crossroads in individuality. Shops … all unique. Restaurants – the best.

What I do not like is city officials who argue and try to change a good thing. City officials who try to trample on individual rights. Wonder if any of them were ever young? Often ashamed I voted for some of them. Enjoy and feel lucky to live in beautiful and unique Olympia.
