Panorama GOP, Democrats to host speakers in separate events

Jan Teague, chief executive of the Washington Retail Association, is scheduled to speak Thursday to the Panorama Republicans in Lacey on Thursday afternoon. The club meets at 2 p.m. in the auditorium located on the lower level  of the Quinault apartment building on the retirement community’s campus.

Teague has worked for several organizations promoting business activities including with Olympia Master Builders, Thurston Chamber of Commerce and the Building Industry Association of Washington.  Meetings are open to the public. For details, call club chairman Dale Vincent at 360-438-5561.

The Democratic Study Group at Panorama also plans a public event next week featuring former Thurston County Democratic Party chairman Stew Henderson. His talk is titled, “The Truth about Climate Change: Shifting from Denial to Hope and Action.” 

Henderson, a management consultant who received training from former vice president Al Gore's climate project, is appearing at the group’s 1:30 p.m. Tuesday meeting at the Panorama Auditorium, 1670 Circle Loop S.E.  For details, call Polly Boyajian at 360-438-5700.
