The state Department of Revenue is set to hold a job fair for veterans at 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at 6300 Linderson Way, Tumwater.

The event is exclusively for veterans and military service members preparing for civilian life, according to a news release.

Here's more from the news release:

Agency executives, hiring managers and human resources staff will be on hand to help veterans explore the types of jobs at Revenue, conduct informational interviews and answer questions.

Representatives from other state agencies, including Thurston WorkSource, the Office of Financial Management and the Department of Veterans Affairs, also will be available to talk to veterans during the event.

Revenue employs 1,100 employees and currently has a number of job openings statewide in information services, human resources, revenue collection, administrative support and tax policy.
