Public safety improved by Super Bowl ruling

McClearyFebruary 15, 2014

(Thurston County Superior Court Judge James) Dixon made a judgment call, based on public risk and the criminal history of the accused (allowing alleged DUI driver to attend Super Bowl). He followed the law. The accused are protected under the constitution, and the judge is following the law: The accused are to be presumed innocent until proved guilty.

Consider this … a guy who allegedly drives around like crazy is out of town. How’s that for public safety?
