It was a pleasure meeting the staff of The Olympian at the newspaper’s Open House last week. With the staff in blue T-shirts and name tags, it made it easy to find favorite writers. Being an addicted daily reader of the first section of the print newspaper, it was fun to talk to the people who create the articles.
I found out that there is much more to the new Capital Update for mobile phone users than thought. Since downloading it on my phone, I can say that it is the best example I’ve seen of organizing information on government while focusing on Washington’s legislative process and agency news. Aggregating from other news sources gives it depth.
It’s a great example of what can be done with technology. Kudos to The Olympian.
