Veterans appreciated the Valentine’s Day cards

OlympiaFebruary 22, 2014

Today I received many wonderful, handmade Valentine’s Day cards created by students from various schools in the 10th Congressional District. These cards were greatly appreciated by the many veterans and active-duty service members who are members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ira L. Cater Post 318 and AmVets Capitol Post 2.

On behalf of those members, I wish to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all the students who hand crafted these wonderful cards. I would also like to extend a thank you to Rep. Denny Heck for doing this project for the second year in a row, and a big thank you to his staff for collecting and distributing these much-appreciated cards.
