Rep. Mary Helen Roberts to retire this year from state House

WASHINGTON STATE LEGISLATURE

State Rep. Mary Helen Roberts, who has served a decade in the state House of Representatives, won't be seeking re-election this fall, the Everett Herald reports.

During her five terms, Roberts has focused on funding human service programs and education, writes the Herald's Jerry Cornfield.

Roberts, 67, told Cornfield that she "thinks it's the right time" for her to retire from the Legislature.
