Thousands of health insurance applicants stuck in system

Staff writerMarch 4, 2014

The Washington Healthplanfinder site is the online portal for Washington state's health care insurance marketplace.

At least 15,000 people who have applied for health insurance through the state's health insurance exchange are stuck in the system, the Seattle Times reports.

Some applications aren't moving forward because they require more information from the applicant, the Times reports. Others are in limbo because the information on the application doesn't match what's in the state databases used to determine eligibility, according to the Times.
