Few really concerned by CEO compensation

TumwaterMarch 27, 2014

With the political cartoon of March 20, The Olympian has once again raised the issue of CEO compensation. The only people upset with CEO compensation seem to be the DNC and their supporting liberal media. The people with the vested interest, those who are paying the bill — the stockholders — are not complaining. They want competency in the people they have entrusted to look after their investments and are willing to pay for it. Recent history is full of examples of inept people attempting to run large and complex projects. Would you really purchase stock in a business run by Kathleen Sebelius or Barack Obama?

The Olympian is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
