Should have chosen Joe Dear as mentor

OlympiaMarch 28, 2014

I

worked with Joe Dear for a year at Labor and Industries in 1985-86, when he was assistant director. Joe was personable, smart and well-regarded by employees and staff. He also dressed impeccably, like the professional he was. I only have one regret about that period: that I did not choose Joe as my mentor, rather than Dick Davis. I’m certain I would have had more success. My deepest condolences to his family.
