Thurston EDC announces finalists for business recognition awards

The Thurston Economic Development Council has announced its finalists for its upcoming business recognition awards program.

Here are the finalists: 

-New business: Blend Cafe, Forza Coffee and Washington Wellness Center.

-Small business: ECHO Energy LLC, Merle Norman Cosmetics, Wigs and Day Spa, R.H.D. Enterprises.

-Corporate employer: Capital Medical Center,  Lacey Learning Center, Sunset Air.

-Nonprofit of the year: Homeless Backpacks, Washington Center for the Performing Arts, Washington Future Business Leaders of America.

Winners in each category will be announced this month as part of an awards program set for 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 24 at the Red Lion Hotel, 2300 Evergreen Park Drive S.W., Olympia.
