The Olympia baseball team hosts Capital in the third annual Bruce Crandall Day, a game honoring Lt. Col. Bruce Crandall. An Olympia High graduate, Crandall raised the 12th Man flag for the Seattle Seahawks-Minnesota Vikings game in November. Where: Crandall Field Time: 4 p.m.

WEDNESday’s highlights

Jessilyn Enlow, Savannah Brown and Aimee Madsen had eight of Yelm’s 13 hits and six RBI in a 7-4 fastpitch win over North Thurston.

Maddy Stensby struck out 10 Bellarmine Prep batters in eight innings, and also had the go-ahead home run in the eighth inning to lift Olympia to a 6-4 victory in 4A Narrows League fastpitch.

Black Hills scored four runs in the seventh inning for a 10-6 victory against Capital in 2A Evergreen Conference baseball. Michael Kramer had a three-RBI double and two stolen bases.

Tumwater won its seventh straight game with its 10-0 win over Aberdeen in five innings. Luke Hare allowed two hits and struck out five. Anthony Correia had two doubles scored two runs.

North Thurston scored in every inning in its 13-2 3A Narrows League baseball victory against Lincoln. Thomas Reay allowed one run in four innings with six strikeouts.

Ben Maratita threw a one-hit shutout and hit the go-ahead homer in River Ridge’s 1-0 win over W.F. West, the reigning 2A champion.
