Whistle Stop Grocery, in Tenino, robbed at gunpoint Thursday

A man robbed the Whistle Stop Grocery in Tenino at gunpoint Thursday night, according to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.

No one was injured during the robbery which occurred about 8 p.m. in the 12000 block of Old Highway 99. The suspect fled east on Old Highway 99 toward Offut Lake in Tenino. Sheriff's deputies initiated a K9 track after the robbery, but could not locate the suspect.

Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call detectives with the Thurston County Sheriff's Office at 360-786-5530.
