Saint Martin's junior Zach Carter's second complete-game performance last week against Northwest Nazarene earned him Great Northwest Athletic Conference pitcher of the week honors, announced Monday by the conference.

Carter, a Camas native, improved to 5-2 overall after his six-hit complete-game effort in a 2-1 Saints victory last Thursday. He allowed just one run and struck out a season-high six with zero walks in the win.

Carter's ERA sits at 3.34, fifth-best in the GNAC, over 59 1/3 innings. He’s allowed four runs or fewer in five of his eight total starts.

The Saints (9-24, 6-13 GNAC) host Pacific Lutheran in a nonleague game at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
