Easter egg hunts galore on tap for the weekend

Here are some Easter egg hunts happening around South Sound over the weekend:

Saturday

City of Tumwater Easter Egg Dash: More than 20,000 filled eggs for kids up to 10 years old, hunts by age groups, 11 a.m., Tumwater High School, 700 Israel Road SW, Tumwater. Free.

Community Easter Egg DASH!: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Hidden Creek Community Church, 1807 Ninth Ave. SW, Olympia. Inside rain or shine. Three age groups: 4 years and younger, 5 years- 1st grade, and 2nd-3rd grade. Grand prizes in each age group.

Easthaven Villa’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt: 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at 311 Cullens Road NW, Yelm. Lots of prizes in a hunt for kids ages 1-10 years. Don’t forget to bring your basket!

Hands On Children's Museum Dinosaur Egg Hunt: free with paid admission, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., 414 Jefferson St. NE, Olympia.

Hippity Hop Garden Party: for kids toddler to 9-years-old, includes face painting, crafts and other activities. 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Capital Mall, 625 Black Lake Blvd. SW, Olympia.

Lattin’s Easter Egg Hunt: Spring fun for everyone. Spend a day at the farm, and have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. The hunts are for ages 2, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-10, and begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at 9402 Rich Road SE, Olympia. Parking is $5.

Mixx 96.1 presents the O Bee Credit Union Egg Dash: Bring a basket or something to hold eggs, and we will start, rain or shine, at 11 a.m., at Dream Team Park, 425 Marvin Road SE, in Lacey. The Egg Dash offers kids 2-10 the opportunity to “dash” for candy and prizes hidden in over 17,000 plastic eggs. Children ages 2-3 and any children needing special assistance will begin promptly at 11 a.m.., with 4-5 year olds, 6-7 year olds, and 8-10 year olds to follow in close succession. Parents should plan on arriving early to allow time for parking and prevent their children from being disappointed.

South Sound Church Easter Egg Hunt: More than 10,000 eggs, face painting, inflatable toys and Easter Bunny, noon Saturday, South Sound Church, 1416 26th Ave. NE, Olympia. Free.

Sunday

Olympia Eagles Easter Egg Hunt: for kids 1-12 years old, 2 p.m. Sunday, at Priest Point Park, 2600 East Bay Drive NE, Olympia.

Olympia Lodge # 1 13th Annual Easter Egg Hunt: 4 p.m., at South Sound Manor Event Center, 455 North Street SE, in Tumwater. The event is free to the public and snacks will be provided. The Easter Bunny will also be on site for photos.
