In response to letters and opinions about stopping shipments of fracking ceramics from entering and leaving the Port of Olympia for North Dakota, I have a cousin in Mandan, N.D., who like many others sold their mineral rights because most of that land is not very good soil to farm. Now the oil companies are harvesting what they bought just like you would harvest any crop, like our forest.
We need to stop importing oil from countries that kill our people and hate us and kill each other. I would rather do without that fuel. The Port of Olympia is a big employer of good jobs and brings a lot of money into the local economy. Thank you, George Barner and Bill McGregor, for not being isolationists.
