Minimum wage inrease, will boost up other’s pay

OlympiaApril 24, 2014

Much has been said and written about raising the minimum wage to $15 and want it done now. This wage has been meant for people who have no skills, experience, training; in other words, entry-level jobs.

I have seen or heard nothing about what will be done for the people now making $11-$14; those who have worked a while, have some training. And what about the people now making $16-plus because they have more to offer employers.

And what about the servers who earn $2.18 plus tips? If their wages are increased to $15, will they still expect tips? Don’t the people who are calling for a minimum-wage increase realize that the money is going to have to flow uphill?
