Thurston County Courthouse.

It's that time of the year again: Wednesday is the deadline for Thurston County residents to pay their property taxes for the first half of 2014.

Payments can be made online at:, mailed or dropped off between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Treasurer's Office or courthouse parking lot drop box at 2000 Lakeridge Dr. SW, Building One, Olympia, WA, 98502.

Payments must be postmarked by the due date to avoid late charges.

There is a 2.5 percent fee for all payments made with a major credit card and a flat $3.95 fee for using VISA, according to a news release from the county.

There's no charge for paying with an electronic check through the web site.

Penalties and interest will be charged for those who do not have their payments in on time, county officials say.
