MONday’s highlights

n Lauren Brandt, Hunter Wilmovsky and Nicole Howard won their singles matches in straight sets to lift Tumwater to a 5-1 win over Aberdeen in 2A Evergreen Conference girls tennis.

 • Bailey Weatherby’s 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles helped Black Hills to a 6-0 victory over River Ridge in 2A EvCo girls tennis.

 • Capital’s Baylee Yost and Sooyoun Park topped W.F. West’s No. 1 doubles team of Isabel Vander Stoep and Katie Hankins, 6-1, 6-2, to lift the Cougars to a 6-0 win over the Bearcats in 2A EvCo girls tennis.

 • Goals by Ian Hess (two) and Jamison Corbin helped Olympia keep pace for second place in the 4A Narrows League as the Bears posted a 3-2 boys soccer victory over South Kitsap.

 • Jocelyn Glasgo was 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs as Tumwater pounded out 12 hits, but W.F. West remained undefeated with a 10-4 victory over the T-Birds in 2A EvCo fastpitch.

 • Matt Mercer struck out 14 Shelton batters over six innings in Timberline’s 2-0 win over the High Climbers in 3A Narrows baseball.
