Lacey Timberland Library and United Way team up to provide volunteer information

Lacey Timberland Library and United Way of Thurston County are joining forces to help match volunteers with opportunities available in the community. 

From 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, representatives from more than 15 local non-profit organizations will be available at the Lacey Timberland Library, at 500 College St. SE, to meet and talk with prospective volunteers who are looking for the right fit.

Registration is not necessary.

The participating organizations will have staffed tables with information about their cause and how to sign up or train to volunteer with them. The organizations include:

Homes First!

Boys and Girls Club

Olympia Film Society

Nisqually Land Trust

Olympia Parks, Arts, and Recreation

The Olympia Free Clinic

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Hands On Children's Museum

The Crisis Clinic

Enterprise Services-Capitol Tours


Out of the Woods

Rebuilding Together

Girls Scouts of Western Washington.
