Olympia School District hosts youth market

May 2, 2014

Olympia School District is hosting its inaugural youth market, called YEE!, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Knox Gymnasium, 1113 Legion Way.

The market features a variety of youth enterprises from students in first grade through high school. Market stands will sell items such as bacon cupcakes, jewelry, original screen-printed T shirts, organic spun local honey, and more. Students also will offer services such as caricature drawing, babysitting, and lawn services.

Live music will be provided by high school band Phat Daddy and the Zone, which will be competing in the South Sound Blues Back To Beale Street Competition at Jazz Bones in a few weeks.

Those who drive to the market should park in the Madison Elementary School lot. For more information, go to the event's Facebook page: www.facebook.com/events/1424813027768183/
