Initiative will return rights to all citizens

LaceyMay 3, 2014

Washington state has an initiative filed, I-1329, which calls on Congress to create a constitutional amendment that states the rights of corporations are not synonymous with those of living human citizens and do not derive from the U.S. Constitution. And that money in the political context is not the equivalent of speech and may be regulated by Congress and the states.

With the passage of this initiative, Washington would join 16 other states who have also called for this amendment. We all need to be part of saving this nation for future generations. You can become part of this growing movement to stop our nation from being purchased. There will be many volunteer opportunities or people who feel passionate about saving our democracy.
