Class is in session: learn more about Port of Olympia's budget

The Port of Olympia will hold three "Port Budget 101" meetings, aimed at helping the public better understand the port's budget.

Port Finance Director Jeff Smith will lead the meetings, which are set for 4:30 p.m. at Tumwater Town Center, 7241 Clearwater Drive S.W., Tumwater.

Here are the dates and class subjects:

-May 7: Budgets of Olympia Regional Airport and New Market Industrial Campus.

-May 28: Budgets of Swantown Marina & Boatworks and port real estate operations.

-June 4: Budgets of the marine terminal and environmental programs.

Each meeting could take up to two hours.
