Joint Base Lewis-McChord will open its gates to the public as it kicks off its Armed Forces Day celebration at from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, according to a press release from JBLM.
The celebration offers members of the community an opportunity to join JBLM service members in celebrating America's history and military heritage.
On the agenda for the celebration will be a Volksmarch and bicycle ride that begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. at the Carey Theater.
At 10 a.m., rugby fans can catch the Army vs. Navy match, at Cowan Stadium. Following the rugby match will be the JBLM championship soccer match at 1 p.m.
Enjoy carnival rides, vehicle displays, craft and food vendors, a climbing wall, and live entertainment.
Guests without an installation pass, should enter at the Main Gate at DuPont. All vehicles are subject to inspection, and drivers must present a valid license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. Passengers 16 and older must present a government-issued photo ID.
