Tumwater Chevron robbed at gunpoint Monday night

A man armed with a handgun robbed a Tumwater Chevron of cash and cigarettes Monday night.

Tumwater police could not locate the suspect, who was last seen headed west on Trosper Road on foot.

The robbery occurred about 8 p.m. when the suspect approached an employee who was outside the Chevron in the 600 block of Trosper Road, and ordered him back inside the business.

Once inside, the suspect stole cash and cigarettes.

The suspect was wearing a black hoodie, baggy black pants, high-top sneakers and a red bandana covering his face.

Olympia police assisted Tumwater police with a K9 track, but it could not locate the suspect.
