The Olympia City Council meeting slated for 7 p.m. May 13 has been cancelled due to the lack of a quorum among council members, said city spokeswoman Cathie Butler.

Agenda items will be rescheduled for another meeting, Butler said. According to this week’s agenda, the city council was expected to award a construction bid for new culvert underneath the Olympia Woodland Trail. The council was also expected to consider a resolution for Olympia to adopt the Thurston County 2014 Hazardous Waste Plan update. City engineers had also planned to brief the council on construction projects under way in 2014, according to the agenda.

A study session about storm and surface water initiatives, which was scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, was also cancelled.

The next regular meeting for the city council will begin at 7 p.m. May 20 at City Hall.
