The Providence St. Peter Sexual Assault Clinic will host a free “Darkness to Light” training class Thursday.

The goal is to teach participants how to recognize and respond to child sexual abuse. The training is designed for teachers, doctors, camp counselors and anyone who works with youths. Many young victims will disclose abuse to someone other than a parent, according to organizers.

The class is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 200 Room on the second floor of Providence St. Peter Hospital, 413 Lilly Road NE. Snacks will be provided. To register, call 360-493-7469.
