2A soccer: Capital (18-2) opens state playoffs vs. Anacortes (14-3-2)

The Capital Cougars open the Class 2A boys soccer state tournament Tuesday night.

The Cougars (18-2) will face Anacortes (14-3-2) at 7:30 p.m. at Oak Harbor High School. The Seahawks finished second in the 3A/2A/1A Northwest Conference, while the Cougars won the 2A Evergreen Conference regular-season title with an unblemished record. 

The winner of Capital-Anacortes advances to the 2A state quarterfinals to face the winner of Kingston/Orting later this week.
