Rainy Day Records will host its second record show of 2014 on Saturday evening at the Elks Lodge on Fourth Avenue.

More than 30 record collectors will be selling vinyl from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

According to store manager Adam Hardaway, the decision for the store to sponsor the event seemed like a no-brainer. “The person who originally sponsored the show moved away, and I thought it would be beneficial to the store and the show if we synced the show with our reputation to help raise awareness.” One of the perks of collectible shows in general is the ability to come across items you may never see again.

“There are a lot of dealers that will bring things you can’t find in a store,” Hardaway said. “Anytime there’s a record show, it’s like being in the best record store in the world on that given day.” The Olympia Elks Lodge is at 1818 Fourth Ave. E. Admission is $3 at the door, or $10 for early entry at 4 p.m.
