A 21-year-old man accused of making sexual advances toward two boys at Briggs YMCA has been arrested and booked into Thurston County Jail, according to Olympia Police spokeswoman Laura Wohl.

The man was arrested at his home in the 6200 block of Fair Oaks Road SE in Thurston County at about 7 p.m. Sunday, Wohl wrote in a news release. His name was released to the public by police, however, The Olympian generally does not name suspects until after they have made their first court appearance.

On Saturday, two boys, ages 9 and 10, said a man had approached them in the YMCA locker room, and made sexual advances. The man fled before police arrived, but authorities had a description and surveillance photo from the gym.

Wohl said Olympia Police are working with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office on the case, and it is still under investigation.
