People news: Jarvela set to retire from real estate group

Staff writerJune 4, 2014

Thurston County Realtors Association Executive Officer Rebecca Jarvela is set to retire from the organization.

She joined the group in 2000, but will remain in place until the association board names a replacement.

"It is hard to measure Becki's impact, and even harder to imagine replacing her," said Randy Reynolds, president of the association, in a statement.

During Jarvela's time as executive officer, the association grew its membership to 1,000 from 450 during the housing boom. There currently are 600 members.

The association also is accepting applications for executive officer. To learn more about the position and application requirements, send an email to tcraselection@gmail.com.
