Downtown Ambassador program in Olympia seeks new ambassador

The Downtown Ambassador program in Olympia is looking for a new ambassador.

The primary role of an ambassador is to provide information, referrals to resources and support to citizens and visitors downtown.

The position is 35 hours a week and pay starts at $10 per hour.

Other duties and responsibilities of a downtown ambassador:

-Be knowledgeable of Olympia history, sites of interest, local businesses, recreation, activities, current events, social services and any information to assist and direct anyone who frequents or visits downtown.

-Deliver information to businesses in regards to downtown events, news, parking and updates on the ambassador program.

-Collaborate with social service providers to coordinate outreach to those in need in the community.

Those interested in the job should bring a resume and cover letter to the front desk of the Capital Recovery Center by noon Wednesday, June 11.

Capital Recovery Center is at 1000 Cherry St. S.E., Olympia.
