Lacey: expect lane closures and traffic delays near Marvin Road

Staff writerJune 11, 2014

Lanes will be temporarily closed and traffic delayed as a result of construction work near Marvin Road and 41st Ave. N.E. to Columbia Way.

Shea Homes, according to a city of Lacey news release, has started work on improvements in the area, including a new roundabout, bike lane and pedestrian pathway. Construction is set to take place 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday; however, construction typically will not continue after 5 p.m. The project is expected to be complete spring 2015.

To avoid delays in the area, drivers should follow “41st Avenue N.E. as it becomes Willamette Drive to the south to where it intersects Marvin Road,” according to the city of Lacey news release. Updated traffic advisories for this project can be found at www.ci.lacey.wa.us.
