The YWCA of Olympia is seeking nominations for its Women of Achievement celebration.

Nominees will be considered on the following criteria: professional achievement, peer recognition, personal growth and demonstration and inspirational involvement in the community. There’s also a special category this year: women who are dedicated to the elimination of racism and the promotion of racial justice.

Nominations are due to the YWCA of Olympia by 5 p.m. July 25. Nominations will be accepted online at www.ywcaofolympia.org under “news or events,” or forms can be obtained by calling the YWCA at 360-352-0593 or send an email to ywca@ywcaofolympia.org.

Honorees will be announced in August. That will be followed by the 20th annual Women of Achievement gala which is set for 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Red Lion Hotel.

For more information, contact YWCA special events and communication director Cherie Reeves Sperr at 360-352-0593 or crsperr@ywcaofolympia.org.
