Thurston County sex offender being sought after failing to register

A Level 2 transient sex offender in Thurston County has failed to meet his registration requirements, and detectives are seeking his whereabouts.

Shane Timothy Morse, 30, failed to check in with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office on June 2, as required by law. It is believed that Morse may have been in the Seattle area as recently as June 25. Detectives believe he may now be headed to the Spokane area.

Morse is about six-feet, one-inch tall, 175 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and multiple tattoos. He should not be contacted by the public, according to a news release.
