Olympia workers lauded for quick sink hole action

June 28, 2014

I would like to thank the City of Olympia utility department workers who responded to a broken water main on the Yelm Highway today. Even as I write, after midnight, they are continuing a repair that started early this evening when someone spotted the beginning of a sink hole at the corner of Glenmore and Yelm Highway.

Thank goodness they were on the site investigating and fixing the problem before it created a life-threatening problem. The workers have been polite, apologetic for their impacts on our household, and industrious. Thank you to the city for such a great staff.
