Traffic alert: All lanes open on I-5 through Grand Mound

All lanes of southbound Interstate 5 near Grand Mound are blocked by crash near milepost 87, south of US 12 interchange, according to the state Department of Transportation.

UPDATE: All lanes are open on Interstate 5 through south Thurston County into Lewis County.

It appears that a semi has lost a load of logs that is completely blocking the roadway. Troopers are enroute, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Guy Gill.

Injuries are minor, Gill said.

There are few exits in the area and traffic is backing up rapidly. Drivers are being directed off the freeway at Exit 88 in Grand Mound.
