Public invited to give input on proposed street projects in Rainier

Staff writerJuly 2, 2014

The Rainier City Council will hold a forum at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, to take input on proposed improvements of where State Route 507, or Binghampton Street, intersects with Centre and Minnesota streets.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will be at Rainier City Hall, 102 Rochester St. W.

A project team has come up with nine different alternatives for the area; the ideas range from new street connections and traffic signals to roundabouts and streetscaping. The project team held several open houses in the spring, and will present feedback from those during Tuesday’s meeting.
