Long Beach Peninsula to host 3 summer runs starting with July 5 Firecracker 5K

The Long Beach Peninsula will be home to a handful of running events this summer starting with the July 5 Firecracker 5K Walk/Run in Ilwaco.

The Firecracker 5K runs between the Port of Ilwaco and the Cape Disappointment headlands. The entry fee is $20. For more information visit databarevents.com/firecracker5k.

Long Beach hosts Race Against Violence on Aug. 2. The 5K event is $22. Find more information at dvawareness.org.

The final event of the summer is the Sept. 13 Discovery Trail Half Marathon, a USATF-certified out-and-back race on paved trails. For more information visit discoverytrailhalf.com.
