MCCLEARY: Expect delays during state Route 8 repaving

July 9, 2014

Expect daytime delays in the eastbound lane of state Route 8 for repaving, starting Wednesday. Mileposts 4 to 10.5 are affected.

They extend from about 2 miles west of McCleary to 4 miles east of McCleary at the Grays Harbor County line.

Crews will often close the right eastbound lane in 1-mile increments, and speed limits will be reduced to 35 mph. Additional lane closure are expected through July. The work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.

Here is the schedule:

 • 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday (July 9) and Thursday: Crews will close shoulders in the project area to install construction signs.

 • 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday: Crews will repair the pavement in isolated locations.

 • 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through July 18: Crews will repave the right lane of the roadway.
