Deputies nab Lacey man in Craigslist sex ad setup

A Lacey man went to a Chehalis apartment complex thinking he would meet a 22-year-old woman and her 13-year-old sister for a “casual encounter.” Instead, he was met by Lewis County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Larry R. White responded to a “casual encounters” advertisement on on June 24, according to court documents.

The 41-year-old man thought he was communicating with a 22-year-old Chehalis woman who wanted to trade sex with her and her 13-year-old sister for rent money.

In reality, he was communicating with Detective Kevin Engelbertson.

When White showed up at the Chehalis apartment complex on June 25, he brought Mike’s Hard Lemonade and $75, court documents state. White was arrested and later charged with second-degree attempted child molestation.

His bail was set at $20,000.
