Police investigate suspicious death at Olympia bus station

Olympia police detectives are investigating the death of a man found outside the Greyhound bus station overnight at 107 7th Avenue S.E., a press release said.

Officers arrived at the location at about 2:30 a.m. and found a middle-aged man who was deceased with obvious signs of trauma.

Detectives and representatives from the coroner's office were summoned to the scene due to the suspicious nature of the death.

The deceased man's identity is not known at this point. Officials expect the information to be released by the coroner's office once the man's next of kin has been notified. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

Detectives are not disclosing details of the trauma while the death remains under investigation, Cmdr. Tor Bjornstad said.
